We were first introduced to Marsupial Gear back in 2018. At the time, Jim, the founder and owner, was building serious momentum with what would quickly become one of the most respected bino harness systems in the hunting industry. Jim decided to give us a shot making custom leather patch hats for the brand, and that first order marked the beginning of a relationship we’re incredibly proud of today.

From the start, Jim liked what he saw. Without us ever asking, he became an advocate for our work and began recommending us to other brands in the hunting space. That kind of word-of-mouth support means everything, especially coming from someone building gear for hardcore hunters who demand quality. We even had the opportunity to make hats for his wife’s side project, Simple Mama Co., where we created some fun, kid-themed designs that were just as thoughtful and well made.

A couple of years later, Lisa and I found ourselves in the Phoenix area and had the chance to visit Marsupial Gear’s original facility. Jim gave us a full tour and shared his background in cut-and-sew manufacturing, explaining how that experience drove his decision to keep production in-house and focus on true American-made gear.

It became clear very quickly, Jim is the real deal.

He spoke about materials, construction, and long-term durability in a way that only someone who has lived it can. Hearing him compliment the quality of our stitching and the overall look and feel of our leather patches meant a lot, especially knowing how high his standards are. We left that visit inspired, motivated, and genuinely impressed by what he was building.

Fast forward a few years, and Marsupial Gear has become a powerhouse in the hunting world. What started with bino harnesses has expanded into camera backpacks, gun cases, pouches for just about everything, and even aprons, many of them featuring our stitched leather patches. Jim continues to use our custom leather patch hats as part of his branded gear lineup, and it’s been incredible to watch the brand grow.

Marsupial Gear has earned respect across the entire hunting and outdoor industry, with their gear being used by names like Joe Rogan and Morgan Wallen, and through standout collaborations with brands like Origin, as well as iconic camo patterns like Multicam and Mossy Oak.

Jim and the entire Marsupial Gear team, keep up the incredible work. We’re proud to play a small role in your journey and honored to make your hats.

These hats hit different because they’re coming from a brand that builds real gear for real use. Hunters and guides gravitate toward this stuff because it is authentic

It’s the kind of style that doesn’t need hype. It’s earned by use.
