COVID-19 Measures

Like so many of you, we at Authentic Leather Patch Company are working hard to keep our workplace safe and our team healthy during this challenging period.

In accordance with an Executive Order issued by the State of California on March 19, 2020, everyone is required to stay home except for essential services providing critical infrastructure for the state for the foreseeable future.  Providing our clients a high quality product in a timely manner with the best customer service is the heartbeat of our business, but taking care of the employees who help make this possible has clearly become our top priority.

Beginning March 23, our shop will be closed.

We have implemented increased cleaning and sanitation of work areas for the 1-3 authorized employees to enter the building on a rotating schedule to prepare hats to be stitched at home by Ian, Lisa and our friends of Hide, Stitch & Hook who have a sewing machine at home.  Rhianna, our General Shop Manager, and Andrea, our Administrative/Office Coordinator, will be working from home on correspondence and invoicing.  Since we will be reducing our production workforce our turnaround dates will likely be longer than expected – but we are tirelessly working on completing orders that have already been paid and processed. 

Our supply chain partners throughout the world are facing these same challenges and have assured us they are following similar practices to keep their staff healthy and facilities open to support business needs. So far, this has been the case for our out of state hat suppliers and natural leather hide suppliers. 

Our California suppliers are facing similar challenges as we are, and have had to follow the difficult order to either limit their business significantly or close their businesses all together.  The result of this would mean that there could be a delay in the production and shipping of your order.  We will reach out to you, if there are any issues with supply for your order. 

We know that the virus and national measures being taken to control it will adversely impact all businesses.  We will keep our customers informed of any changes as promptly as we can. 

As small business owners, we never can predict what the future holds for us. In this unpredictable time, we will follow the same measures we have been practicing since beginning of the endeavor of starting a business - we will have the most positive attitude even in challenging times, we will approach solving problems with an open mind and heart, and we will be thoughtful and kind.
